Richard Simmons Halloween Costumes Raise $50k for Charity

“Like” a new Halloween tradition to help America’s veterans, seniors, and families!

Each year, beloved fitness guru Richard Simmons receives hundreds of photos from people that dress like him for Halloween.  And with your help, this year he’s using this Halloween tradition of wild hair, jubilant facial expressions, and dazzling tank tops to do some good for Americans in need!

Introducing The Rock your Richard Costume Challenge!

For every person who dresses like Richard between October 15 and Halloween and posts a costume photo to his Facebook page, “The Weight Saint” he will make a donation—up to a total $50,000—to Volunteers of America or the other three charities that are especially close to his heart.

How you can be part of the fun

  • Snap a picture of you dressed up in a signature Richard look and submit it to his Facebook page
  • Choose Volunteers of America as your selected charity and Richard will make a donation on your behalf for each picture submitted starting October 15th!
  • Once you’re done—vote for your favorite costume by “liking” the picture. On November 2, Richard will announce the top ten most liked submissions and how much money has been raised for charity via the effort.

With your help, this fun Halloween tradition could make a huge difference for the veterans, seniors and families Volunteers of America serves this holiday season. You have until midnight on Halloween to send in your picture, so break out those Bedazzlers and Rock Your Richard to help your neighbors in need!
